Stanislav Ivanov (‘Stan’) is a Professor in Tourism Economics and Vice Rector (Research) in Varna University of Management. He is also a CEO of Zangador Ltd – a consultancy company in tourism and hospitality, where he conducts special analyses, reports and trainings in Hotel marketing, Pricing and revenue management, Marketing audit, Data driven decisions, etc. For his expertise in revenue management, hospitality marketing and destination marketing and management, Stan has been advisor to many companies and has participated in a number of scientific conferences.
Stan has authored or edited numerous books in the field of hospitality and tourism. Among the most prominent are: Hotel Revenue Management: From theory to practice; Routledge of Hotel Chain Management; Future Tourism: Political, Social and Economic Challenges; Hotel Marketing (in Bulgarian. Currently, he works on the books Robots, Artificial Intelligence and Service Automation (RAISA) in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality, and Future Tourism in Robot-based economy.
Prof. Ivanov is the founder and the Editor-in-chief of the only academic journal in tourism and hospitality in Bulgaria – European Journal of Tourism Research (indexed in Scopus and Web of Science) – and serves on the editorial and review boards of over 30 other journals. He authored over 140 publications (books, book chapters, articles, conference reports and industry reports) in the field of pricing and revenue management, hotel marketing, hotel chains, destination marketing and management, tourism’s impact on economic growth, political issues in tourism, robonomics.
Stan has participated as a lecturer and/or keynote speaker in universities and events in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Norway, Cyprus, USA, Italy, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Romania.
